At Zaloni, at the end of each year we like to take a look back. We evaluate all that we have done, celebrate the wins, and take what we’ve learned as we update our roadmap for the coming year.
In 2015 we executed the third phase of a multi-pronged shift in direction of the company, a shift that continues to deliver great rewards. As we close out 2015 we are celebrating the fact that we once again have surpassed all of the goals we set for ourselves, and have had one of our most successful years to date.
Let me share a few 2015 highlights:
Zaloni Leadership Team – During 2015 we continued the expansion of our leadership team with three strategic additions at our headquarters in North Carolina – Dan Edelson, Chief Financial Officer; Scott Hart, VP of Sales; and Kelly Schupp, VP of Data-Driven Marketing. With these roles in place, Zaloni is ready to take on the burgeoning Big Data needs of enterprises worldwide - enabling clients to manage and leverage their data lakes for competitive advantage. We have also been hiring aggressively in all our locations, expanding engineering, sales, marketing, IT and administration. In 2016 we will continue growing the Zaloni team around the globe.
Product Development – The Zaloni Data Platform has continued to lead Zaloni’s growth this year, in part due to our latest release, which extended the platform to the cloud, creating a fluid platform that makes it possible to ingest, organize, enrich, govern and extract data in such a way that the boundaries between data stored in systems running on premise and data in the cloud are being eliminated. In September, we took our business to the next level when we introduced our self-service data preparation platform addition that enables data cataloging, data discovery, data curation, interactive and visual data preparation, and collaboration for customers who want to enable enterprise-wide access to the Hadoop data lake.
Customer Focus – We welcomed a number of new customers in 2015, including several key customers who will play a big role in the future of Zaloni. By respecting our customers, listening to their requests, understanding what they need to solve their data management challenges, we can add greater value, exceed expectations, innovate faster, and become trusted partners with our customers. To that end, we created our inaugural Customer Advisory Board. This is one way that we can ensure that we deliver a product that meets the true needs of our customers. We plan to continue developing features and functionality that solve our customers real-world data challenges today and work together to best predict their needs in the near future.
In the coming weeks I will share our goals for 2016. We’re aiming higher than we ever have before. As we should.
