Team Zaloni - Spotlight on Raheel Khan, Regional Sales Director, MEA

June 8, 2017 Brett Carpenter

Zaloni has announced the expansion of its regional Middle East and Africa (MEA) team with the addition of new clients and Raheel Khan, our new regional sales director. Raheel was kind enough to sit with me and answer a few questions. I encourage you to watch the video above to see his full answers.

Brett: What excites you the most about joining Zaloni?

Raheel: I have been in the data management business for many years now and have worked for leading data management vendors and most of them have a very traditional approach to solving customer’s data issues. The approach that Zaloni has taken to address some of the key challenges is unique and I can say Zaloni has taken a big lead in this space and others will have to catch up.
So- for me there were two major reasons to consider Zaloni:
1) Vision and Execution of the Leadership team
2) The immense success that Zaloni has achieved in such a short span of time with a number of large, satisfied customers who are experiencing great value from Zaloni solutions.
So I am really really excited to be part of this great company.

B: What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone?

R: Never give up, and be confident in what you do. There will be tough times, but the difficulties which you face will make you more strong to achieve your objectives and to win against all the odds. It reminds me of a quote from Jack Ma (Chinese businessman, Founder of Alibaba Group) "Never give up. Today is hard, tomorrow will be worse, but the day after tomorrow will be sunshine."
So it’s really having patience, consistency and the willpower to achieve success.

B: Tell us about yourself.

R: I was born and brought up in Mumbai/Bombay- the commercial capital of India and went to school there. I later moved to a city called Pune for my University studies where I completed my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Master's degree in Computer Management. I have been working in the Middle East region for more than 20 years now based in Dubai so Dubai is my home away from my home. When I am not working, I am spending my time with my family, my lovely wife and two amazing boys.

B: Would you rather fight one horse-sized duck or one hundred duck-sized horses?

R: ... Watch the video for Raheel's answer!
